InLiquid Thanks You for STARTING, ENHANCING, and CELEBRATING Art

The 2017 InLiquid Benefit: Everyone is a Collector was a smashing great time, a success, and couldn’t have been made possible if it wasn’t for the amazing work, efforts, and generosity of our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, submitting artists, and art collectors (both rookies and MVPs of the game!) With the intention to encourage Philadelphians and beyond to start their art collections for young professionals, enhance art collections for those seasoned to art collecting, and for all artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts an encouragement to celebrate the arts and culture of Philadelphia. This year was the first calendar change in our annual event, switching from February to November within the newly renovated Icebox Project Space. With the challenges at hand, we were still able to bring out our cause, raise funds, and auction over 200 works of art by our artist members and invited artists.

The chance for original art to be yours is still possible! For those who were unable to attend the three-day event, items that did not sell are now available for purchase at the minimum bid. Check out what is left here.

Even though the Benefit celebration is over, InLiquid will continue with its exciting citywide programming, bringing art exhibition, workshops, and creative collaborations to the public as well as consultations and an open door to our studio to art collector and any person or business looking to put original, Philadelphia-based artwork on their walls.  Check out our site and Exhibition calendar for more opportunities to learn about the joys of art, how artists work, and reasons why everyone is and should be a collector.

Stay tuned on our website and social media pages for photos of our VIP Night, Young Professionals Night, and Main Event!

I was a choreographer and modern dancer for most of my life. It is the balance between energy and stillness that I carry into my art. I reflect this discord in a gesture and painterly contemporary style. I use a variety of media to create a raw, yet, luminous painting in oil, layering pastels, glazes, pencil, charcoal, and develop painted collages of varying surfaces. I create paintings directly from a model's pose and the subtle nuances of that gesture. I paint in a realistic approach, and yet, abstraction tends to take over. I have had an extensive career teaching art to students of all levels and ages. My teaching is an integral part of my art making process.
