NEW NOW exhibition Call for InLiquid Artists
New Now was created to highlight the newest artist members at InLiquid and includes only the artists who have joined in the past year. This year’s show will take place from July 25th – August 31st, 2024, at the InLiquid Gallery in the Crane Arts Building. The deadline to submit your work for New Now VII is May 27th. While the deadline is still a ways away, we wanted to let you know now in case you have pieces in progress you would like to finish for this opportunity.
Because of limited space in the gallery, artists will only have one piece included, but we ask that you please submit 3 pieces of varying sizes, making sure at least two of them are less than 48” in any direction for consideration. The final works by each artist will be chosen by the InLiquid Programming team to ensure that each of you is represented well, that the work all physically fits in the space, and that there is cohesion across the larger exhibition.
For most of you, this will be the first time you have worked with InLiquid. Attached is a one-sheet we have for our exhibitions covering best practices for our shows. Please review carefully. Some highlights are: only submit works that are available and not sold or committed to another exhibition, only submit work that has not been publicly on display in the greater Philadelphia area in the past year, and artwork prices should list the FMV and be consistent with pricing across all galleries and venues. While work does not have to be available for sale, we strongly encourage it. InLiquid’s commission would be 40% of any sales.
