2019 Summer Residency

2019 Summer Residency

This Deadline Expired: Monday, January 14, 2019

Housed in beautifully restored and re-purposed historic buildings, our residency program offers artists the opportunity to live and work in the heart of a rural community. Some artists stay for just one month, while others settle in for a full six. We welcome contemporary artists, writers, filmmakers, dancers, and more. And, for the first time, we’re happy to welcome families to apply for our summer residency.

Residents are selected based on the quality of their work, commitment to their practice, and ability to engage with the community at large. All applications are evaluated by our Co-Directors, our Residency Director, and our review panel. Our panelists are established artists, curators, gallery directors, writers, and more. Most of them have passed through Wassaic themselves. All of them are dedicated to giving emerging artists the space to explore and expand their practices.
