Artistic Action: Call for Proposals

Collaborate with environmental justice activists to design, fabricate and produce a performative small-scale, highly-visible artistic action to advance the campaign objectives of Chester Residents Concerned for Quality Living, fighting to end trash incineration in their community. The action will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Scope of Work
● Artist Responsibility- Collaborate with CRCQL activists to design, fabricate and
produce the campaign TACTICS for the action at Subaru Stadium. The artist is
responsible for managing the budget and production of the project. The proposal is
all inclusive of artist fees, materials (including any large scale printing),
transportation, and performance of the actions. The artist is responsible for a rough
budget for the proposal and a final budget one week after they are selected. The
artist is responsible for performing the action, in collaboration with CRCQL
members, October 9, 2022 at the Union home game and at two home games in
spring 2023 TBD.
● Mural Arts Responsibility- Coordination of meetings, design reviews, and
publicity/social media support for the actions. Coordination with Partners. Securing
any necessary permits. Flier or handout printing. Photo documentation of the
action. Technical support for the artist if applicable. Project management,
contracts and payments.
● Partner Responsibility-Campaign materials and goals. Review of proposal and
designs. Occasional meetings with the artists and mural arts. Publicity of the
action. Providing approximately 6 people that can take the action with the artists.
