Center for Fine Art Photography, with Curator Karen Haas

Submission Deadline: July 18 at midnight mountain time (11 pm pacific time)

How we think about and engage with the land has been an ever-evolving relationship. This exhibition is an opportunity to explore loss, longing, mystery, and hope.

Joe Vescovich's pieces are full of texture, layers and depth that can and need to be walked around and viewed form different points and perspectives. He engages the viewer to be active in the experience by encouraging interaction from differing perspectives. Many of his pieces have hints of sculptural qualities that pop from the wall. This creates shadows and movement within and outside of the piece.

My life and my perceptions are the subjective drivers for the pictures I make. Making a painting is, for me, an exploratory process toward understanding, not an expository declaration of a position already held.
