AUTOMAT Collective is excited to announce an open call for new members! If you are an artist, curator, arts writer, or a combination thereof and want to be part of a dynamic curatorial collective, we want to hear from you!

THE SHORT OF IT:

AUTOMAT is a 3+ year old Philadelphia curatorial collective comprised of visual artists. Collectively, they’ve organized exhibitions and events with dozens of US and international artists.

AUTOMAT is looking for engaged, enthusiastic Philadelphia-area artists, arts writers, and curators who would like to contribute to the Philadelphia art community.

Member benefits: Curate exhibitions, write exhibition press release and catalog essays, opportunities to show your own work with other Automat members, contribute to and be part of the dynamic Philadelphia art community.

Member duties: Including but not limited to: Curate exhibitions, assist with show install/deinstall, conduct studio visits, $75 monthly dues, gallery sit, attend monthly meetings.

Important dates: Applications will be accepted from October 9 – December 2, 2018. Applicants to whom membership will be offered will be notified by January 4, 2019 and new members will begin on March 1, 2019.
