Dina Wind Art Foundation Internship, Winter 2021

10-15 hours/week, $15/hour
In-person at Foundation HQ , 1606 S. 8 th St., South Philadelphia with some remote work as well.

Purpose: To gain insight and knowledge of the workings of an Art Foundation and of the art & legacy of Dina Wind, while supporting the growth and evolution of the DWAF.

Projects and tasks to include:

  1. Social Media–Developing and posting content
  2. Assisting with bi-monthly newsletters and biannual board reports
  3. Website– Managing updates and new Viewing Rooms
  4. Analytics and reporting
  5. Working with the art—inventory, archiving, preparing for exhibition, installation, de-
    installation
  6. Special events at DWAF–Prep & breakdown, serving, documenting, and participating as
    appropriate
  7. Physical plant—assisting with maintenance, service of the Foundation building.

My artwork talks quietly about the underlying significance of the domestic sphere on artist production. It argues for the relevance of craft, specifically ceramics and fiber arts, by creating a conversation between the two mediums. Displaying a fascination with the way fiber marks clay, my ceramics exhibit just how subtle those marks can be.
