Fine Arts Work Center Visual Arts Fellowships

The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown is a nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging the growth and development of emerging visual artists and writers and to restoring the year-round vitality of the historic art colony of Provincetown, Massachusetts.
To that end, the center is inviting applications for its 2020-21 Visual Arts Fellowship. Fellowships are open to visual artists in the emerging stages of their careers who are creating two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and/or time-based work. Through the program, ten visual artists will be awarded with a seven-month residency that runs from October 1, 2020, through April 30, 2021. Fellows are required to reside full-time in Provincetown during the seven months of the fellowship and are provided with a private furnished apartment, a separate work studio of approximately 400 square feet, and a monthly stipend of $750. The Fine Arts Work Center welcomes family members and partners of fellows during the fellowship term, and there is one pet-friendly apartment available for a visual artist.
There is a $57 application fee.
Applicants may be a citizen of any country. Tenure track professors in fine arts who are on sabbaticals are not eligible.
