Her Weight in Gold

This Deadline Expired: Saturday, December 5, 2020

Her Weight in Gold is a celebration of work by women artists around the world. This exhibit does not have a specific theme, and Visionary Art Collection is completely open to all subject matter and visual mediums. They encourage artists who work in diverse styles to apply.

The following mediums are accepted: painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art.

The guest curator is Mollie Barnes, founder of She Curates. Mollie is a curator from the UK, currently living south of London. She freelances in the art world, working as an artist liaison, digital marketing strategist, and event organizer. Mollie specializes in exhibitions, commissions, and events to support artists in their practice. With a focus on, and passion for, championing women artists, Mollie founded She Curates, a platform that celebrates and showcases female creatives.

Gestural lines, fragmented patterns and assorted textures are the threads of my work which create a space for the confluence of memory, time and place. The overarching theme of my work is a narrative drawn from personal history, my meditation and spiritual practice, community engagement and interest in the mysteries of the Universe.
