I’ll Be There: An Exhibition about Love
This Deadline Expired: Friday, April 15, 2022
Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center invites emerging and established artists to submit original artworks to the juried exhibition ‘I’ll Be There: An Exhibition about Love.’ This is a national juried exhibition. All media and performance welcome; small to large-scale works; indoor and outdoor works; cash awards. This exhibition will take place in their Main Gallery and will be open to the public June 10 – August 28, 2022.
‘I’ll Be There’ invites artists who think critically and deeply about the meaning of love in our culture. In the realm of our romantic lives, self-love, in our families, spiritual love, and love between friends, it is obvious that love informs our decisions and can strengthen our understanding of our communities.
“Yet when we commit to true love, we are committed to being changed, to being acted upon by the beloved in a way that enables us to be more fully self-actualized. This commitment to change is chosen. It happens by mutual agreement.” – bell hooks
