This Deadline Expired: Friday, April 10, 2020

Established in 1989, the Korea Arts Foundation of America (KAFA) works to support Korean-American artists living and working both in and outside the United States.

To that end, the foundation welcomes applications to its the 2020 KAFA Award program. Through the program, a single cash prize of $15,000 will be awarded to a Korean-American artist working in any visual medium. In addition, the awardee’s work will be exhibited at the KAFA Awardee Exhibition, to open sometime in 2021 at the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Applicants must show a continued commitment to the visual arts and should have received some professional recognition.

To be eligible, applicants must be either a U.S. citizen of Korean ancestry, Korean with permanent residency status in the U.S., or otherwise approved by the board. Applicants may not be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application.

There is a $30 application fee for this opportunity.
