Music Teacher for Parent & Children classes – Part time

Philly Art Center is seeking a Music teacher for our Philadelphia locations. The ideal candidate will have the following skills/requirements:

– Ability to play guitar/ukulele and feel comfortable singing in front of people
– Background in music, early education or related field
– One (1) year experience in leading music classes preferred
– Great interpersonal and communication skills
– Must enjoy working with babies and toddlers!
– Must be reliable, flexible, and have a fun personality!

Terri Fridkin is best known for her dynamic, abstract and mixed media works that embody intense color and graphic forms. She is a National Honor Society graduate of Drexel University School of Design Arts, and lives and works in the Philadelphia area. After teaching art for several years in Philadelphia, Fridkin left to pursue printmaking at various studios and schools in New York and Pennsylvania.

As my concern for our planet grows daily, I make art to express this, in the beautiful, mysterious language of abstraction. For the last 6 years I have been painting about our climate crisis in a series on rising waters, rain, birds, coral, forests and lost ice. I show both the beauty and desecration of our environment.
