NewCourtland Artist Fellowship 2019-2020

The Center for Emerging Visual Artists (CFEVA), in partnership with NewCourtland is pleased to offer Philadelphia area artists the opportunity to participate in an exciting, community-based fellowship. Through the NewCourtland Artist Fellowship, visual artists will be selected to bring innovative and engaging art-making to Seniors in sites throughout Philadelphia. In the following application, artists are asked to develop an intergenerational project that brings NewCourtland’s seniors together with student groups to create a meaningful experience and an exciting artistic project. The student groups can be elementary school, middle school. high school or college). Work created by residents and their school age partners during the Fellowship Program will be exhibited with the work of the artist fellows in a well publicized exhibition. Please note: unless a student group is named in the proposal, CFEVA will identify student partners. In some cases the projects can be implemented a without a student group partner.
