In August 2012 NYC4PA launched its first international call for entry. These past ten years have been quite an adventure. They have sponsored over 50 contests, awarded thousands of dollars in prizes, hosted a myriad of exhibitions and led a wonderful photography trip to Iceland/Greenland.

To honor this milestone, NYC4PA is sponsoring a Tenth Anniversary, no theme, Call for Entry. It will include, in addition to their regular prizes, a live exhibition of the cash prize winning and juror’s selection images. For this show the size of framed images will be limited to 11×14 (or 14×11).

The exhibition will be held in a gallery in New York City Hell’s Kitchen in October 2022.

Send in your best shots – as with all NYC4PA calls all 2D forms of photography are accepted.

Jennifer Baker is a visual artist working in varied media including: painting, monotype, sculpture, and installation. Her images of Northern Liberties document the changes in that Philadelphia neighborhood over a period of 30 years, from the fires and the wrecking balls of the 1980s and 90s to the runaway construction of the 2000s. Other images explore the central Pennsylvania town of Centralia where an underground fire has burned in a coal seam for over 50 years. These pieces have a roughness and immediacy in their execution that matches their subject matter. Her life size sculptures and installation pieces show another side of her interests, and most recently she has been working on a series of drawings documenting her life in the time of coronavirus. All of these pieces have in common an interest in narrative and a sense of place and memory.
