OPEN CALL : ART FROM THE BOROS VIII

OPEN CALL : ART FROM THE BOROS VIII

This Deadline Expired: Saturday, January 30, 2021

It’s that time of the year again, Denise Bibro Fine Art is looking for new artists for their open call for “Art from The Boros VIII”

For the past seven years, Denise Bibro Fine Art has selected diverse and hardworking artists to participate in this annual group show highlighting talent found within New York City’s five boroughs. The mission of the exhibition is to seek and find the pulse of talent in the city that is often overlooked and underexposed.

This time around due to COVID they will conduct our search and presentation differently.

They are asking artists in the five boroughs to submit all works virtually. From these submissions they will choose TEN artists for a virtual exhibition in February. From those ten artists they will then choose TWO artists to have a joint show sometime in the Summer.

This year has been challenging for everyone, especially the fine arts industry and everyone in it, and that is why Denise Bibro Fine Art would like to give this opportunity to the artists of New York City to show with their gallery.

Ellen Rosenholtz’s graphite on paper series explores native flora and fauna of New Jersey. The work looks at the profound beauty of natural forms as it exists within animals and plants. The multiplicity of images underscore the interconnection of living systems, while geometric patterning enable the viewer to identify each of the species through repetition of form.
