Open Call for 7th Annual Germantown Show

This Deadline Expired: Wednesday, September 5, 2018

“7th ANNUAL GERMANTOWN SHOW”
Introducing The First Annual $500 “Linden’s Gift”

Exhibition Dates:
Sept. 8 – Oct. 6, 2018

iMPeRFeCT Gallery is honored and amazed at the opportunity to invite ALL artists from far and wide and of all types, to this 7th Annual open call exhibition.

It is the 7th time that our “Annual” will be organized in a non-curated, non-juried, non-judged and uncensored practice that has generated some really strong exhibitions. So please join us and invite your friends, so we can have another spectacular show.

We are living in a highly consequential moment in our history… What are artists thinking about? What are you doing? How are we expressing ourselves? This is NOT a political show, but we hope to hear your voices. The Germantown Annual is an opportunity for artists to make community and engage in the conversation. The Annual is also an important fundraising tool for the gallery… it’s artists supporting artists… THANK YOU!

And this year for the first time, “Linden’s Gift”, an annual commemorative gift of $500, will be given to the best in show as determined by the voting of all participating artists, to celebrate the life of Linden Jordan Eskenazi.

The ever-changing seascape and creatures are the subjects, and I marvel at the minute details, textures, and movements. Through my art, I visually capture an iconic creature engage viewers and remind them of our fragile marine environment.

In my years as a visual artist I have chosen symbolic forms that are both universal and personal to express the idea of “time.” Often I use nests, eggs, marine creatures, and one-celled organisms. They are symbols for natural phenomenas that manifest this notion of time.
