Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center Commission

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center Commission

This Deadline Expired: Monday, August 24, 2020

The Art Committee of Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center, Pennsylvania is seeking applications from a variety of artists who work in various media to be considered for future commission or purchase of artwork, to be installed in June 2021 at the Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center in Enola, Pennsylvania.

The new facility is being built into the landscape to take full advantage of the natural surroundings and minimize impact to the area’s noise, light and sightline standards. They are seeking approximately 400 art pieces. The art collection is intended to engage patients, family members and staff of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Penn State Health encourages art that is inclusive, provides positive distractions and timeless. The themes for each of the three floors 1, 2 and 3 respectively are rivers, meadows and mountains. These themes are meant for the artists to interpret them in a variety of ways and should not serve as a limitation to submissions or style.
