Autumn is a time of change, and the perfect season for a show on transitions, Changelings. This artwork demonstrates transition, plays with comparison or progression, shows evolutions of ideas or works of multiple mediums. Whether it’s the edges between objects, an ombre-ing of colors, a collaging of multi-media or a comparison and juxtaposition of ideas and perspectives, transition is manifested in pieces in a myriad of ways. This show is the chance to display that beauty and our comfort with change.

This work can be pottery, paintings, woodwork, jewelry, sculpture, drawings, prints, collage, unusual materials, quilts, accessories – pretty much anything you can imagine. Powell Lane Arts Center wants work that changes usual perceptions – be that in season, color, materiality, shape, line, use, society, etc. ANYTHING YOU THINK DEMONSTRATES CHANGE. 🙂
