Summer Hardware Bootcamp Scholarships for Artists

Summer Hardware Bootcamp Scholarships for Artists

This Deadline Expired: Friday, June 23, 2017

The Hacktory is pleased to announce a comprehensive Bootcamp series to cover a wide range of maker technologies and hardware, in a timeframe that works for busy schedules. Each week focuses on a technical theme, covering wearables, creative coding, robotics, 3D printing, and more. No prior experience or training is required. The fee for each weekly session of about 15 hours of instruction is $300.

With support from a grant from StartupPHL, The Hacktory is offering a limited number of scholarships for each week as well, bringing the cost down to $75. Their selection committee is prioritizing scholarship awards for artists, educators, and those who are under-represented in STEM fields. All workshops are taught by experienced technical educators and will require all participants to follow their Social Rules to maintain a space where all questions are welcome to enhance creativity and experimentation.
