The Saucon Creek Arts Festival Call for Entries

The Saucon Creek Arts Festival is turning FIVE this year and is seeking artists for its biggest year yet! On Saturday, June 1st the historic Heller Homestead Park will transform into the largest community arts event in the Saucon Valley. The festival grounds run along the beautiful Saucon Creek, and will feature live music, food vendors, and more.

This juried show will feature up to 60 artists based on creativity, originality, technique, and presentation. The jury is excited to be able to award up to $1200 in cash prizes to winning booths. Artists will be juried day-of-show for cash prizes.

There is limited booth space available, and artists are encouraged to apply now through Zapp at
https://www.zapplication.org/event-info.php?ID=7014. Applications for the festival are due March 25th, and late applications will be accepted until April 15th. More information can be found at www.saucon.org or by calling 610-838-1199.

The Saucon Valley Conservancy is also seeking new committee members and event sponsors! Email the Conservancy at info@sauconvalleyconservancy.org for more information on these opportunities. The Saucon Valley Conservancy uses funds from the arts festival to help preserve the historic and natural environment of the Saucon Valley as an educational and recreational resource for area citizens and visitors.

Annette Cords is an interdisciplinary artist whose work spans diverse media, from painting and weaving to installation and sculpture. Her Jacquard tapestries focus on the convergence of visual and textual languages, making connections between text and textile. In dialogue with the material culture of weaving, she examines how weaving intersects and augments developments in writing, painting, and abstraction. Cords’ work has been exhibited extensively nationally and internationally, and she has been the recipient of numerous grants and residencies.
