Philadelphia-based photographer and educator Jaime Alvarez will lead this family-friendly workshop. Make your masterpiece and enjoy Disney’s Wish on the Berman Lawn after sunset.
Develop a greater appreciation for the photography on view at the Berman in Enrique Bostelmann: Apertures and Borderscapes by trying photography techniques with cyanotypes!
A cyanotype is a simple photographic printing process that creates striking blue and white images. It involves placing objects on light-sensitive paper coated with a mixture of chemicals. After exposing the paper to sunlight, it’s washed in water to reveal the unique blue and white image. It’s a fun way to explore photography without complicated equipment.
This workshop is appropriate for all ages, but kids under 8 years old should be accompanied by a grown-up to help with the chemical processes. All supplies provided.
This event is free and open to the public. Please consider adding a donation to your ticket price to support more free events like this at the Berman Museum of Art.
