We have been in awe of NATALIE HOPE MCDONALD for quite some time.
Time and again, since debuting in our space at the beginning of 2016, she has come back to our space with constantly evolving, mesmerizing bodies of work. Illustrations that have run the gamut from 70s memorabilia and tchotchkes to graffiti vans, from political buttons to LGBTQIA+ mantras, from iconic Philly spaces to the very icons who have defined our lives. More recently, Natalie’s series of activist-minded plates and her graphic pop songs-on-wood pieces have pushed into the 3D realm.
But nothing in this past inventory, which has wowed our audiences, won myriad fans and made Natalie the top-selling OFF THE WALL artist of all time, could really prepare you for the experience of TOGETHER AND BY OURSELVES.
We have selectively used the term “tour de force” over the years. It’s perhaps best embodied in this new show, our sixth solo show ever (dating to 1978) and the first one to achieve this level of vibrancy, verve or volume. One hundred and thirty-eight works strong, from tip to tail (you’ll understand when you see it) and in our 3D case, this art will capture your attention and pull you in.
For the first time, we are choosing not to upload the entire show on this website. Rather, we provide only a sampling, all if it shoppable, and strongly encouragE you to experience TOGETHER AND BY OURSELVES in person. We look forward to seeing you soon!
NOTA BENE TO ONLINE BUYERS: While we requisition in-person purchases on an almost-daily basis, it is still possible that you may purchase something on this website that may have already sold in our Gallery. We will make every effort to avoid this circumstance.
