Submission guidelines:

  • Open to artists over 18, working in all mediums, WHO ARE NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A DEGREE-GRANTING PROGRAM.
  • Artists will be chosen by the members of TSA Philadelphia.
  • All artwork submitted must be ready to hang or install.
  • Artists are responsible for delivery of their work. TSA cannot transport work to the gallery.
  • Artists living outside of Philadelphia are welcome to apply but will be responsible for artwork shipping costs.
  • At least one of the three artists to be included in this exhibition will be local to the Philadelphia area.
  • Submission fee is $30 for up to five images and is non-refundable.
  • Artists who wish to apply as a group (artworks created by individual artists but shown together) should submit separate applications, with a note in their artist statements. Each artist will also be considered independently unless they specify otherwise in their application.
  • Artists who work as a collaborative team (all artworks created together without individual credits) may apply under a single application.
  • All submissions must be in by 11:59 pm on December 1, 2024 for consideration.
  • Selected artists will be notified by December 6, 2024
  • Work will be received by December 29, 2024. If hand delivery is not possible the artist is responsible for the cost of shipping or mailing artwork to and from Tiger Strikes Asteroid using FedEx, UPS or USPS. A return shipping label and return postage must be included with the artwork.
  • Artist reception January 9, 2025
  • Tiger Strikes Asteroid retains a 30% commission on all art sales made during the exhibition.
  • Work must be picked up/deinstalled on February 16, 2025
  • Each selected artist will receive a $150 stipend (with submission of receipts).

We can waive the entry fee on a case by case basis. Please consider  that these entry fees directly support our operational and  administrative costs before requesting a waiver.
