InLiquid presents the work of artist members Kirby Fredendall and Mirjam Seeger. Both artists approach images of familiar subject matter by practicing similar techniques and utilizing languid strokes. Although their initial styles may vary; the fusion of the two forges a striking result.
In this exhibition, the impressionist-like work of Kirby Fredendall is highlighted, showcasing her breathtaking oil works that blend together bits of figuration and hazy scenery to create her interpretation of horizons through a peculiar eye. Mirjam Seeger, on the other hand; uses oils to create remarkably exaggerated landscapes that dissolve into varying levels of abstraction. The series featured in this exhibition follows the theme of “Distorted Terrain” and is focused around large-scale works capturing unique essences of a tranquil landscape.
