Pareidolia (/pærɪˈdoʊliə/ parr-i-DOH-lee-ə) is a psychological phenomenon in which the mind responds to a stimulus, usually an image or a sound, by perceiving a familiar pattern where none exists.
InLiquid is looking forward to tripping your mind with our latest exhibition at Vintage, featuring artist Orlando Saverino-Loeb. Orlando is a young painter in Philadelphia and recent graduate of Tyler School of Art. His work, on the basis of abstraction, brings viewers into an illusionary experience of pareidolia: a sensation where the brain finds images in a pattern when they are not there. Join us and Orlando at Vintage from August 22nd to November 28th, and tell us what you see at the reception on October 3rd from 4 – 7pm!
