New Exhibition at the Community Arts Center Features Tea Bowls from around the world and Special Tea Demonstrations
The Community Arts Center in Wallingford, PA is thrilled to present The Philadelphia International Tea Bowl Exhibition: The World is Local. The exhibition, curated by CAC teaching artist and wood kiln manager Mark Tyson, features Tea Bowls and other Ceramic Teawares by over 150 Ceramic Artists from Japan, France, New Zealand, Germany, China, and the United States, including Hawaii. Over 400 pieces will be on view. A temporary Tea Room will be constructed in the center of the gallery, where members of traditional Japanese tea organizations from Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York, and Princeton, NJ will present tea demonstrations at various times and dates throughout the run of the show. The exhibition will be on view both in person in the Duke Gallery at the CAC and online at the CAC website.
