Philadelphia artist Phyllis Gorsen is bringing her unique blend of nature-inspired collage paintings to the heart of New York City. Gorsen’s exhibition is a testament to her dedication to spreading an appreciation for our connection to nature through art. Her intricate collage paintings explore the profound relationship between humans and the natural world, using elements such as trees, plants, animals, and insects. These works reflect on how our interactions with nature influence our self-perception and our relationship with the earth. Through her art, Gorsen delves into the personal and unguarded moments that arise during these interactions, emphasizing the innate symbiosis of all living things. By showcasing these themes in a public space, she aims to foster a greater appreciation for nature. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity for the public to experience the profound messages in Gorsen’s art.
