InLiquid member, Matina Marki Tillman, has a recent print selected for inclusion in the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers 2023 International Original Print Exhibition, an open international juried competition. The show will run from September 21st to October 1st at London’s Bankside Gallery. The Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE), established in 1880, has a rich history showcasing the forefront of contemporary printmaking in the United Kingdom.
Fools’ Way is a solar plate etching representative of Tillman’s new Humanography series. Humanography: Eidola and the Glorious City unfolds as two parallel worlds coexisting through dialogue between absence and presence. In Fools’ Way, “The Glorious City” has been left to exist as a stage of absences, barely carrying the shape of the lost creator.
