Art can foster critical thinking skills, increase self-understanding and self esteem, and build values that connect youth to themselves and their communities. Works included in The Traveling Youth Art Exhibit are by students from Edison High School, The Philadelphia Mural Art’s Guild, Harrington Elementary School, and Moore College of Arts Learning through Photography Program. Each of these students was chosen from various programs within their schools and was somehow affected by the justice system. These students use art as a voice to represent their interpretation on society.
The exhibition is a program of Juvenile in Justice.
The Exhibit will be open to the public 2 pm – 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
