InLiquid Special Events

InLiquid is excited to partner with Ray Philly to host a Holiday Pop Up Shop featuring work by our member artists, and local Philadelphia makers! Shop InLiquid will be open Thursday – Sunday with artwork and products all throughout the month of December, and select days in November. Every weekend, InLiquid will welcome an artist or a local partner into the space to activate it in some way. Either by bringing an extended collection and being present at a table, providing samples of local bites, or by hosting a workshop in the lower level.

**

Unfortunately, the Frosty Flap Penguin Plushie Workshop, initially scheduled for Sunday, December 22 from 12-2 pm, has been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience.

A variety of plushies by THECOLORG are still available at the InLiquid Holiday Pop Up at Ray Philly, open through December 24.

Saturday, December 14th, 12p – 6p / Sunday, December 15th, 12p – 5p - Lorraine Glessner

"Using landscape as inspiration, connection and metaphor, my interest is in the exploration of human interaction and psyche-the navigation of the line between what is hidden and revealed to others. Real and imagined stories exploring inner demons, desires and vulnerabilities of the human mind fuel my work. The consequence of revealing what is hidden can be both a dream and a nightmare, causing a chain reaction gamut of emotions ranging from anguish to exhilaration. The amalgamation of these intense emotions and the simultaneous existence of danger and seduction within the earth and the body is what I investigate through my work.”

Saturday, December 21st, 12p – 6p / Sunday, December 22nd, 12p – 6p -Eva Shelley

"Once you find something that truly moves you, if can enhance your personal life, encourage you to grow, and leave you wanting more. That's what glass does for me. It's my first love. It's given me life and joy. And I know that comes through in my work.

My name is Eva Shelley and I've been working with glass since 2000. I started by taking private lessons at the Crefeld School, a private high school in Philadelphia. I then took individual glass classes at Salem Community College in New Jersey. From there, I attended Temple University's Tyler School of Art, majoring in glass, and graduating in 2005 with a bachelor of fine arts (BFA). My focus at Tyler was furnace work, and I also learned both hot and cold casting, as well as fused and slumped glass."
