On March 20th, InLiquid is hosting the March for Art: EAT event, a gastronomic experience held in our auction gallery!
We will be joined by acclaimed Philadelphia chefs Chef Ange Branca and Chef Guillermo Veloso to enjoy their culinary expertise alongside our collection of visual art.
Chef Ange Branca is a two-time James Beard Award nominee. Her first restaurant, Saté Kampar, was the first Malaysian restaurant in Philadelphia that focused specifically on satay, a type of street food traditionally grilled on coconut shell charcoal. After Saté closed in 2020, Branca started Kampar Kitchen, a program to kickstart the careers of chefs from underrepresented backgrounds.
In 2024, she reopened her restaurant, reimagined as simply Kampar. Alongside Malaysian cuisine and a cocktail bar, Kampar hosts residencies for chefs who focus on underrepresented cuisines, creating an incubator space that connects new chefs with the Philadelphia community.
Chef Guillermo Veloso is currently Executive Chef at Olive & Shae Rooted Catering, which provides culinary experiences drawing from diverse flavors and cultures. He has had a 40-year career in the restaurant industry, including working as Executive Chef at places such as the famous Yuca restaurant in Miami, and Philadelphia’s Cuba Libre and Brulee Catering. He brings an innovative approach to Cuban and Caribbean cuisine.
Attendees will be able to try three signature dishes by each chef. N/A cocktails from Philadelphia’s Bar Palmina and Wallace Dry Goods!
March for Art: EAT promises to be an exquisite blend of gastronomic and visual arts - come hungry for both, and don’t miss this premier arts & food experience!
