Kite Prize for Contemporary Art 2024

The Kite Prize for Contemporary Art Award, an international visual art award, was established to recognize innovative visual artists and creatives who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their work.  The award is juried by Amie Potsic Art Advisory, LLC choosing a winning artist based on artistic excellence, creative accomplishment, and cultural significance.  There will be three Kite Prize Awardees and Artists Selected for the Virtual Merit Exhibition in addition to the chosen Grand Prize Winner. BENEFITS OF THE KITE PRIZE:

One Kite Prize Grand Prize Winner will receive:
•  $1000 USD unrestricted cash award
•  A printed catalog of their artwork, which will be made available online. The Grand Prize book will be published Fall of 2025
•  A solo presentation in a virtual exhibition
•  Their artwork digitally archived in APAA’s online portfolio: Art Histories (One-year free subscription)
•  A 2-hour virtual advisory consultation with Amie Potsic, CEO & Principal of Amie Potsic Art Advisory, LLC.

•  Recognition of artistic excellence

Three Kite Prize Awardees will receive:
•  $250 USD unrestricted cash award
•  A presentation in a virtual exhibition of the three Kite Prize Awardee’s work
•  Promotional marketing through social media and email campaigns
•  A 1.5-hour virtual advisory consultation with Amie Potsic, CEO & Principal of Amie Potsic Art Advisory, LLC
•  Recognition of artistic excellence

Artists Selected for the Virtual Merit Exhibition will receive:
•  Artwork presented in the group Virtual Merit Exhibition in the Spring of 2025
•  Promotional marketing through social media and email campaigns
•  Recognition of artistic excellence

SUBMISSION INFORMATION:

•  Deadline:  Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 11:59 pm EST

•  Application requirements: 10 images/work samples, image list, artist statement, biography, resume, and fee

•  Fee:  Submission fee due with your application
Early bird discounted submission fee (September 1 - 30, 2024): $25 USD
Standard submission fee (October 1 - November 12, 2024 Deadline): $45 USD
(A portion of every application fee is donated to Stripe Climate to support environmental protections.)

•  Awardees: One Grand Prize Winner and three Kite Prize Awardees to be announced in February 2025.

•  Selected artists: High-resolution images will need to be provided by the selected artists for Virtual Exhibitions and marketing materials

•  Eligibility: Visual artists over the age of 18 years of any nationality, age, religion, and gender are encouraged to apply

•  Accepting entries in all media: painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, video, performance, installation, printmaking, new media, etc
