Cerulean Arts is seeking entries for its 13th Annual Juried Exhibition.

Juror: Fred Danziger, Artist & Educator

ELIGIBILITY:

* Open to all U.S. residents, 18 years and older.

* Art must be original and have been created within the past two (2) years. Accepted media include painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor), works on paper (drawing, pastel, printmaking), photography, sculpture and mixed-media works (collage, fiber, etc.)

* All art must be free-standing or ready to hang. Works on paper must be framed (no clip frames). If required, artist is responsible for providing pedestal to display sculpture.

* Maximum size not to exceed 30 inches in any dimension, including frame.

* All artwork must be for sale; gallery retains a 40% commission of the sale price.

Wednesday, June 18 - Sunday, July 20, 2025

OPENING RECEPTION:

Saturday, June 21, 2-5pm

ENTRY FEE:

$25 for one entry, $30 for two entries, $35 for three entries

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE:

Accepted artists will be posted on the gallery website no later than Thursday, May 15, 2025.

AWARDS:

Awards will be chosen by the juror in June. First Prize: $ 250.00 plus inclusion in a future group exhibition Second Prize: $ 150.00 Third Prize: $ 100.00

HAND DELIVERY OF ART:

Wednesday, June 4 - Sunday, June 8; 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

SHIPPING OF ART:

Artist is responsible for all shipping costs including insurance value. Shipped work should arrive between June 4 - June 6 in a reusable container with pre-paid return label. Please note that the gallery is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays and is unable to accept shipments arriving on those days.

PICK UP OF ART:

Wednesday, July 23 - Saturday, July 26; 12:00 - 6:00 pm

Note: Cerulean Arts Gallery and Studio will not be responsible for work that is not picked up by 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

JUROR:

Fred Danziger was trained at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where he received the Cresson and Scheidt Awards. His career has included over 20 solo shows in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, as well as numerous group shows in New York City at Sherry French and K.R. Perlow Galleries. Fred received a major grant from the Tiffany Foundation, and 12 American museums include his work in their permanent collections, including PAFA and the PMA. In 2016, The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art mounted a major exhibit of over 60 of his paintings and in 2018, SAMA conferred on him their Distinguished Artist Award. Fred won a Mid-Atlantic Emmy® in 2018 for his illustration work done for History Making Productions, a producer of historical documentary films, located in Philadelphia. As an educator, Fred Danziger was on the faculty of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts from 1997 - 2002 teaching portrait and still life painting classes, as well as on-line classes from 2020-2023.
