Art In City Hall (AICH) and the Women’s Caucus for Art issue a call for artists as part of a city-wide series of events in response to the 50th anniversary of the groundbreaking 1974 Philadelphia feminist exhibition “Philadelphia Focuses on Women in the Visual Arts."

Entitled (Re)FOCUS at City Hall, this show is curated by AICH along with members of The Women's Caucus for Art, an organization which began in 1972 and which was headquartered at the Moore College of Art and Design from 1983 to 1997.

(Re)FOCUS at City Hall will reflect the inclusive values of Philadelphia by exploring contemporary social issues. Art in City Hall and the Women’s Caucus for Art are collaborating to curate an exhibition amplifying the diverse, creative voices of local women and gender nonconforming artists. While women have made significant advancements since 1974, it is clear that the fight for equity is not over. Deep-seated gender and racial inequality still exist. This exhibition will aim to look back to see how far we have come as well as look forward to seeing how we should approach the future. All visual media is eligible except work requiring electrical hookups.
