Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Upholsterer with a specialty in working with antique textiles, including oriental rugs, kilims, and tapestries. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and the ability to transform these precious materials into beautifully upholstered ottomans, benches, pillows, and floor cushions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the condition and quality of antique textiles to determine suitability for upholstery projects.
• Collaborate with clients and designers to understand project requirements and provide expert advice on fabric selection and design.
• Carefully measure and cut textiles to fit custom furniture pieces, ensuring minimal waste and preserving the integrity of the fabric.
• Expertly upholster ottomans and benches using antique textiles, maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and cared for.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, techniques, and best practices in upholstery and textile preservation.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time and to the satisfaction of the client.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Upholsterer, with a portfolio demonstrating work.
• In-depth knowledge of upholstery techniques, tools, and materials.
