Unseen worlds inform my direction no matter what medium I work in. Some of these unseen worlds are imaginary and some are hidden, either because they not in our field of vision or we have not noticed. My goal is to spark the idea of the reality of these hidden spaces both inside and outside of us, and to acknowledge that they are as real as the one we inhabit daily.
Artist Biography
Anne comes from a diverse background of experiences, but none of it includes attending art school since her parents forbade her. She founded and ran an environmental consulting business for over 25 years, and founded three schools in rural Cambodia. Her education lies in the areas of biology and environmental planning, but she has been an artist since she was four, drawing fish for her father. Despite many other endeavors, she has always been an artist. Her work is as varied as her past, but she presently focuses on monotype printmaking and assemblages of natural materials. She works in Norristown, Pennsylvania, and lives in Bryn Mawr with her Irish Terrier.
