I’m a midlife female artist expressing the beauty in my heart. My oil paintings have three themes: Serpentine trees that celebrate life, cityscapes that romance my hometown, and self-portrait pixies who reflect my personal growth. My professional writing career informs my creativity, as I weave text into images to tell these visual stories. And Silver Pixie art reflects my personal style of flowy patterns, golden spirals and sacred swirls.
Lately, my art has expressed aging into happiness: The power of showing how to be a sensual silver-haired woman, and how to embrace your physical conditions as strengths rather than weaknesses. My next series will explore a modern twist on Jewish spirituality, building art around Hebrew letters, found objects and my signature tree landscapes. Our deepest beauty often lies in the pieces of ourselves that we are still gathering -- this is my creative invitation to viewers and to myself.
