Free Stuff Collage Workshop w/Jessie Renew


Join us in the Lower Level of the Towne Center, at Park Towne Place from 2 - 4 PM on Saturday, April 5th , for an exclusive workshop with PTP artist-in-residence Jessie Renew.
In this workshop, artist Jessie Renew will impart her techniques of creating mixed media and collaged artworks made from everyday items. Participants will learn about Jessie’s approach to cultivating creativity, seeing potential in everyday items, and processes of making art with these things using weaving, fusing, and adhering. Each participant will create a small-scale, wall-hung collage art piece from items the artist collected and curated. No previous experience is needed. All materials will be provided.
Please note that this workshop has a cost of $5 and is limited to 10 participants.

About the Artist
Jessie is a multi-disciplinary, mixed-media artist based in Philadelphia. She was born in South Africa and immigrated to South Carolina, where she began her art career in Charleston. Jessie’s twin passions of art and nature have led her on an exciting career journey, including work as a commercial artist, graphic designer, kayak instructor, marketing strategist, landscaper, painter, outdoor educator, and retail specialist. She works on design projects for clients and operates a gardening company, making art and showing it around the city. Outside of her artistic and professional pursuits, Jessie enjoys outdoor adventures, cooking, yoga, and spending time with her loved ones and pets.
