My most recent body of work was inspired by morning runs on the local trails and quiet, very early morning walks with my dog. I live in a rural area that offers tremendous inspiration through nature. The light streaming through the trees and how it is reflected on the leaves showing a multitude of shapes and colors, hypnotizes me. In the dead of winter, I find amazing color in early morning sunrises reflected off the snow or the designs that are made with the naked branches of the trees cradling the moon in the morning darkness. I have gravitated to nature as a healer for the loss I have suffered in the past 10 years. This quiet sanctitude is where I have found inner peace and happiness. With my work I hope to inspire others to explore the amazing nature we have in our backyards for free. My mediums vary from Oil or Acrylic Paint on Canvas, Gouahce on linen or Mixed Media on Watercolor Paper. Recently I have been experimenting with mixed media on Yupo paper.
